Lindsay Benner's

WOMEN in VAUDEVILLE 

Saturday, May 13th, 2017 at 8:00 p.m. at the historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. This event marks the first collaboration between the theater and the Los Angeles-based performer and is part of a series of events hosted by the theater to foster and embolden the diverse and vibrant community of vaudevillian artists in L.A.

Lindsay Benner is a world renowned juggler and entertainer who will be serving as the Master of Ceremonies. Lindsay will guide us through an hour-long evening of the most fun, exciting, and thrilling female voices of the variety performance world. Some of the talent joining her on stage will be--

Katrina a self-proclaimed "Valley Girl" and working actress for many tv shows such as MTV's Faking It, TruTv's Fameless, and FX's Man Seeking Woman. She is also a dancer recently having traveled internationally with Miley Cyrus on the BANGERZ tour. Katrina wants to bring awareness, entertainment and realism to media platforms regarding those living with disabilities.

Marawa an eight-time world record holding Hula Hoop artist, and a finalist on Britain's Got Talent, Americas Got Talent, and 3rd place winner on Arabs Got Talent. She has performed with Kenzo, JackÜ, Refinery29 and hula hoop crisps and played Josephine Baker in New York for 6 months to rave reviews.

Pam Severns a comedian, singer, and puppeteer who has worked on various puppetry projects with IFC, MTV, PBS, Amazon Studios, Fuse Network, and Seeso. She is board member of the Los Angeles Puppet Guild and performs regularly in a musical/comedy duo entitled, “The Puppeteers”.

Bonnie Morgan professional actress, contortionist and stunt woman who has appeared in such films as The Ring, The Devil Inside, and Minority Report. Bonnie hails from a long line of circus performers and holds a Guinness World Record for having spent around three minutes with two other people in a two by two foot box.

All of these incredible acts will be interspersed with Bob Baker’s world famous Marionettes! These beautiful and antique marionettes will help Lindsay through the evening by singing, dancing, and playing with the audience to such iconic numbers as “City Lights,” “That’s My Weakness Now,” and “Cleopaterer”!

The pre-show will include drinks and live music provided by Janet Klein, a world famous musician who specializes in old-timey jazz and ragtime standards. As well as a short set by Lauren Cohen, who is a magician member of the Academy of Magical Arts at the World Famous Magic Castle, the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM), and the Society of American Magicians (SAM). She has performed for ABC Nightline, CollegeHumor's All-Nighter, and theStream.tv's Comics N' Cocktails.

The post-show will offer the theater’s signature ice cream and guided tours of the workshop and backstage area. As well as an opportunity to meet and greet the performers in our party room. So please join us as it is sure to be an event for the record books filled with magnificent talent and echoes of the bygone and golden era of Vaudevillian comedy.
