We’re excited to continue this work throughout all our shows, offering educational workshops in our Puppet Parlors, and curriculum offerings to local schools and beyond as part of our nonprofit mission!
COMING SOON:
COMPREHENSIVE PUPPETRY CURRICULUM
In mid-September, we’ll be debuting our first ever comprehensive puppetry curriculum for students, educators, parents, and all to learn the art of puppetry and performance, as well as the allied arts that tie them together.
Created with puppeteer and educator Perry Daniels, and in partnership with the Center of Puppetry Arts, we can’t wait to share our expanded education efforts to continue enrich the experience of performing arts.
¡FIESTA! Curriculum + Activities
Learn about our re-imagined ¡FIESTA! show and the history of Latin American art!
Created by Allisón Chalco, an LAUSD art educator, this new curriculum companion and lesson guide fosters hands-on learning that connects our shows to core standards on art, representation, social justice, history, and more.
These lessons and activities support learners in making deeper connections with the wonderful world of puppetry and Latine culture and art! The curriculum will engage students in the four artistic processes of visual arts, creating, presenting, responding, and connecting, as well as the four domains of anti-bias education:
Identity, Diversity, Justice, and Action.
