Boopoopadoop! On Saturday, February 14, Saturday Morning Cartoons United is hosting a special, one-night-only Valentine's Day charity event at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater, celebrating Betty Boop’s timeless charm — all for a good cause.
The evening will be a playful mix of Saturday-morning nostalgia, romance, and fun, complete with a pop-up shop, puppet show, interactive moments, and a panel discussion with animation luminaries.
When doors open at 6:00 PM, guests can shop exclusive Betty Boop collections by Whatever!, Overlord Caps, and Rockin Pins before the screening begins at 7:00 PM with the independent short Conej Steps Out, by acclaimed Spanish animator Pablo Rio.
Following the screening, the panel features Jane Fleischer, Claire Fleischer, and Emmy-winning art director/producer Alex Kirwan, alongside special surprise guests.
The event combines laughter, love, and a dash of Betty Boop magic, while raising funds for fire relief support for animation professionals and supporting Saturday Morning Cartoons United™, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to celebrating legacy animation and uplifting the creative arts community.
