Happy Accident Workshop
in Sound, Light, & Movement
Thursday, August 20
Doors: 6 PM / Workshop: 6:30 PM

Liz Howls and Drew Simpson (Happy Accident) crack open their playful, curious process:
What makes an object steal the scene?
How do you sharpen focus, land a moment, or surprise an audience?

Through hands-on experiments, participants will layer movement, sound, and light to transform object theatre-proving that small shifts can make big magic.

And don’t miss Happy Accident’s very special performance of Vol. 1 on 8/19. Tickets sold separately here!

About Happy Accident

Belching forth from the glorified backwater village of Portland, OR, Happy Accident’s work explores the exponential pace of overwhelming absurdity in our world. Found objects, large scale puppets and sputtering lights bring you face to face with the cuddly nightmare that is everyday life. An anti-clown car driven by master puppeteer liz HOWLS and co-piloted by musician/unlicensed electrician Servant Baby, Happy Accident ecstatically careens down the wrong side of the lost highway leaving a trail of old copies of Weekly World News and Jack in the Box wrappers in its wake.

This event is part of our Summer of Puppetry at BBMT series. This August, explore puppetry in all its forms at BBMT. As Choo Choo Revue marks the future of puppetry at BBMT, we're thrilled to share our stage with special guests that are pushing the boundaries of puppetry with their own unique styles. The month includes special events, from performances to workshops, featuring the puppeteers of Happy Accident, Dilly's World, and more.
