What can I expect from a Bob Baker Marionette Theater show?
Fantastical delight, childlike joys, and, on average,100 unique handcrafted puppets! Our shows have a run time of approximately one hour and end with (shh! It’s a surprise!) ice cream for everyone! Post-show, guests have a chance to meet ’n greet with the puppets, take photos, and as guests exit the theater, make the most important decision of all: will they choose chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry for their ice cream treat?!
What is “Criss-Cross-Applesauce”?
“Criss-Cross-Applesauce” is when you sit on the floor, with your legs crossed! You’ll notice when selecting your seats that the options are “Chair” or “Criss-Cross-Applesauce” - choose wisely! The floor is the best seat in the house if you’re hoping for a puppet to sit on your lap, but sometimes grown ups require a proper chair - the choice is yours!

Are your shows appropriate for a two year old? A six year older? A thirty-five year old? A hundred-and-five year old?
The shows in our repertoire have been entertaining audiences of all ages for more than half a century and as Bob used to say, are appropriate for ages two to toothless. Theater appreciators of all types are able to enjoy the artistry, spectacle, and endless imagination of the Bob Baker Marionettes.
How many puppets are at the Theater?
Our puppet family has more than 2,000 members with new additions taking shape all the time. Some of the oldest marionettes have been starring in shows since the 1940s and some of our newest have been birthed this year!
Can a puppet come to my house? Or school? Or office? Or favorite park??
Yep! Our puppets travel and for over 55 years the Bob Baker Marionettes have been on the road performing anywhere there’s fun to be had! Our touring packages are designed for any size and budget and range from One Man Shows to our recently restored Bob Baker Big Top - a fully-contained mobile marionette theater complete with props and backdrops. All shows feature the enchanting and delightful Bob Baker Marionettes performing a half-hour musical variety extravaganza. More information can be found here.
